TALISMAN SABER

Australian Soldiers and U.S. Marines launch an attack on Camp Raspberry during Exercise Talisman Saber 2007 (TS07). Located in the Shoalwater Bay Training Area, Camp Raspberry is a simulated city used to train service members on how to operate in an urban environment. TS07, designed to enhance the combat readiness and interoperability between U.S. and Australian military forces, is conducted in Australia and focuses on crisis action planning and execution of contingency response operations. This biennial event is the largest-ever joint/combined training exercise in the region consisting of more than 20,000 U.S. and 7,500 Australian personnel conducting land, sea and air evolutions.
